Community standards

Respect and inclusion

Do not discriminate, threaten, harass, stalk, shame, exploit or retaliate against a person based on identity, background, disability, language, caste, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, family status or another protected or vulnerable characteristic. Hosts may set neutral capacity, safety and lawful house rules applied consistently.

Honesty

No fake identity, listing, media, review, availability, price, service, verification evidence, complaint or damage claim. Do not impersonate another person, manipulate ratings, hide required charges or coordinate an undisclosed participant.

Privacy and boundaries

Do not share another person's ID, exact address, contact information, private message, image or sensitive fact without a valid reason and permission. No recording in private areas; disclose lawful exterior/common-area cameras before booking. Respect when a host or guest declines an optional interaction.

Platform integrity

Do not bypass chat or payment controls, solicit off-platform booking, scrape private data, interfere with security, spam, create duplicate identities, abuse invitations, or use rewards and reviews deceptively.

Consumer fairness

Hosts and Village Miles must not use hidden charges, false urgency, disguised advertisements, forced add-ons, misleading comparisons, subscription traps or another dark pattern. Material prices, limitations and choices must be clear before a person commits.

Property and environment

Respect homes, belongings, farms, animals, water, waste rules, sacred or culturally sensitive places, quiet hours and community consent. Do not remove items, trespass or pressure residents to perform for visitors.

Enforcement

Village Miles considers severity, evidence, pattern, immediacy, intent and risk. Responses may include education, warning, correction, feature limits, removal, suspension, termination, evidence preservation and lawful reporting. Immediate protective action may occur before a final review. Users should receive a reason and appeal path where appropriate and safe.
