Reservation policy
The current pilot uses no-money test confirmations. This policy explains the reservation record and conduct rules; it does not activate real payment or a guaranteed commercial stay.
Request, approval, and confirmation
- A traveler selects available dates, the complete party, and services and sends a request.
- The Host may approve or decline after reviewing the disclosed party. Approval holds the dates but is not payment confirmation.
- Confirmation occurs only after the platform records every required adult verification and an enabled payment or authorized no-money pilot confirmation.
The binding booking record
The confirmed record includes the approved listing snapshot, dates, party, itemized price and services, cancellation terms, selected Host participants, material house rules, and messages that change or clarify performance. A later listing edit does not silently change an existing reservation.
Traveler duties
Use accurate account and party information; declare every adult and child; do not transfer the booking; follow lawful capacity, check-in, checkout, safety, privacy, visitor, smoking, noise, animal, and property rules; supervise children; and report damage or a material problem promptly. Visitors, events, commercial filming, and additional people require prior recorded Host agreement.
Host duties
Provide the reserved stay and services as recorded, make check-in reasonably possible, disclose any emerging material limitation, communicate promptly, and never downgrade, relocate, add a participant, or impose a new mandatory charge without the traveler's informed agreement.
Changes
A material date, party, price, property, service, or participant change requires a recorded change accepted by the affected parties. Silence is not consent. If the platform cannot safely or accurately amend the record, the parties must cancel and create a new request.
No-shows, late arrival, and early departure
Users must communicate delays through the platform. Before paid launch, the checkout flow must state the exact no-show, late-arrival, unused-night, and early-departure consequences. Safety incidents or material service failure may be reviewed independently of an ordinary cancellation rule.
Problems during a stay
When safe, notify the other party and Village Miles promptly, preserve proportionate evidence, and allow a reasonable correction when appropriate. Immediate danger, violence, sexual misconduct, illegal activity, or serious health risk does not require attempting informal resolution first.
