Payments, damage, and disputes

Transparent pricing

Before paid launch, the traveler must see the complete payable amount, itemized stay and service prices, taxes, mandatory charges, refund rule, and payment timing before confirming. Pre-selected extras, hidden mandatory fees, false urgency, drip pricing, basket sneaking, disguised advertisements, and obstructive cancellation are prohibited.

On-platform payment

When enabled, payment must use Village Miles' approved regulated provider. Hosts and guests must not request cash, bank transfer, UPI, gift card, cryptocurrency, or another off-platform payment for a mandatory booking amount. A lawful optional expense arising during travel must be disclosed and recorded as the product permits.

Payout controls

A Host payout is not earned merely because checkout time passes. Village Miles may hold the disputed portion while reviewing a timely report of non-delivery, unsafe conditions, listing mismatch, fraud, damage, or another policy breach. Final payout timing and any reserve must be disclosed before paid hosting.

Damage claims

Normal wear is not damage. A claimant must identify the booking, item, condition, amount, timing, and proportionate evidence. No fabricated invoice, inflated replacement value, coercion, public shaming, evidence alteration, or retaliation. The other party receives a reasonable opportunity to respond, except where immediate protective action is necessary.

Service and property disputes

Village Miles considers the confirmed record, messages, time-stamped evidence, causation, ordinary wear, disclosed risks, mitigation, and both accounts. Possible outcomes after paid launch may include no adjustment, correction, partial or full refund, rebooking assistance, partial or withheld payout, reasonable damage recovery, account action, or referral. A platform outcome does not determine criminal or civil liability.

Chargebacks, insurance, and statutory rights

Users must cooperate with truthful payment-provider evidence and must not pursue duplicate recovery. Village Miles does not currently promise insurance or a host-protection program. Nothing restricts non-waivable consumer, payment, or legal remedies. Final money rules require an Indian payment, tax, consumer-law, and insurance review before activation.
