Listing content and review policy
Listing accuracy
Content must be current, specific and representative of the offered stay, nearby places and services. Media must depict the actual place or be clearly identified as contextual. Do not use misleading angles, filters, old conditions, stock images, hidden charges, exaggerated safety claims or another person's content without permission.
Instagram and third-party links
Instagram links provide optional social context and do not verify identity, ownership, availability, access, service quality or safety. Hosts must have the right to share a link and must not imply endorsement by Instagram or Village Miles.
Rights and consent
Upload only content you created or may lawfully use. Obtain consent before identifiable people, private homes, children or culturally sensitive activities appear. Village Miles may reformat content for display and accessibility under the licence in the Terms.
Reviews
Only booking participants may review after checkout. Each side gets one 1-to-5-star review of 20–1,000 characters. Reviews are double-blind until both submit or 72 hours pass. Reviews must describe a genuine firsthand booking and must not contain contact details, threats, discrimination, extortion, irrelevant disputes, private/sensitive data, promotional content or knowingly false claims.
Public visibility
The current public listing shows only an anonymous aggregate traveler rating and verified-stay count. Review text and reviewer identity remain private. Public review text requires a separately approved notice, moderation and appeal policy before implementation.
Moderation
Village Miles may reject, redact, restrict or remove content that violates policy or law, while preserving relevant evidence. Moderation is not a finding of legal liability. Users may report copyright, privacy, fraud or review concerns through the grievance process when available.
Illegal content and grievances
Users may report content that violates law, privacy, intellectual-property rights or these policies. Village Miles will maintain a documented notice, review, preservation, removal and appeal process before public launch. Urgent lawful orders and credible immediate-safety reports may require faster protective action.
